Please excuse this one and only intrusion onto this website. My name is Terry and I am Adie's older brother. It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Adrian passed away on the 8th October 2014. He was with our parents at the time and died in an ambulance as paramedics fought to save his life. We have only just found out that that the cause of death was a heart attack (a blood clot lodged in the right side of his heart). Adrian has only just been returned to us and his cremation has been arranged in Weymouth, UK, on Thursday 13th November at 1PM. I realise that many of you who correspond with Adie will be unable to attend, but if you would like further details please let me know. I can be contacted directly on TERRY@terrydunk.wanadoo.co.uk.
Over the last few years Adrian was on constant medication for pain relief and I know he took great comfort from his photography, being outdoors observing the joys of nature and sharing his work with you. On behalf of the family I would like to thank you all for being such good friends to Adie. Adrian touched many lives with his smile and he always had time for people. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Personally my walks in the Dorset Countryside will never be the same without him being at my side.
Although his death was totally unexpected, he left a letter with his final wishes should he die. We are following these wishes to the full which includes scattering his ashes at his favourite spot on the Lodmoor Nature Reserve. I will end with Adrian's message to you all which reads:
"To all my friends out there who have enjoyed my work your kind words and comments mean so much to me. My heart is saddened I am no longer alive to enjoy your work but to also keep doing what I enjoyed. My life was enriched by knowing each and every one of you and for that I thank you so much. Take care my friends, I will miss you all. Adie"
